Inspired by the early warmth of the season and by my son Archie’s beautiful wildlife photography (Instagram: a.garth.wildlifephotos), Whispers of Spring is a hand‑sculpted polymer clay artwork celebrating renewal, light, and the quiet promise of change.
A delicate blue tit perches on a textured branch, framed by bright daffodils and soft snowdrops — each chosen for its symbolic meaning. Daffodils for hope. Snowdrops for resilience. The blue tit for joy returning with the light.
Sculpted in low relief over a foil armature, the piece is shaped and textured entirely by hand. The soft watercolour‑effect background is enriched with gentle gold highlights, creating depth, movement, and a sense of early‑spring brightness.
Stamped into the design are the words: “As warmth returns, hope emerges. Let in the light.”
